The Jurassic Way is a long distance, recreational footpath which travels the length of Northamptonshire and more.

The termini, Banbury and Stamford, are separated by beautiful rolling countryside lying over rocks from the Jurassic Age ( c. 140-195 million years old ).

The three guides covering the three sections are informative and well illustrated, and provide a detailed description of the route to follow. The maps contained in the quides are to 1:25000 scale (about 21 miles to the inch).

Maps are available for sale at The Post Office and Welford Garage.

Welford is located at about the midpoint of the whole footpath, and also approximately half-way through the centre section.
